This is an extension of the song “Motive” and the conceptual perspective of time. Whereas “Motive” touched retrospectively on concluding points of negativity in one’s life, this song focuses on the product of personal progression, as a combination of the elements that facilitate change. I am not one for patience, but the process of perfection or better, embracing the imperfect takes time.
lyrics
to new beginnings
to continuation
to the toasts that push through the ceiling
and lofty dreams of cohesion
after everything that you wanted to read is written
and after everything you wanted to hear has been heard
to the length of all ability and the limit of exhaustion
push on
there’s no postscript to attest until it’s posthumous
to endure is an active form of becoming
I don't mean to be a "first albums only" elitist or anything of the sort since I didn't even discover these guys til maybe a year and change ago, but truth be told- the demo tracks are my favorites despite Deafheaven's undeniable growth and evolution into a broader sort of awesome. satangutsandchristcorpsepaint
Agreed with Dima1979 this is a fucking Gem. A platinum grade beauty that is going to hold the test of time.
I’ll never bore of this album it’s so diverse in style per minute it’s almost schizophrenic.
It also has a pair of tits on the cover! What the fuck more you need… Tell Ya Fucking Story Walking…
